Youth & Entrepreneurship

Business Loans for Young Entrepreneurs

Young Entrepreneur Loans are an opportunity for young people across Southwest Saskatchewan to engage in a business of their choice with relative ease in terms of business plan development and access to funding. The Loans Program will provide young people with the knowledge and skill set to open and manage a small business effectively while further developing communication skills, writing skills, and leadership qualities. Developing and refining such qualities will only serve to enhance academic education and open the doors to future possibilities.

Young Entrepreneur Loans provide youth with the opportunity to access loan funds to a maximum of $15,000.00 to start their own small business.  A business package/application will be made available to interested clients wishing to utilize the program, and staff at the Community Futures Southwest office will be available to provide guidance and answer any questions potential entrepreneurs may have about the process. The business package/application is a detailed business plan and will provide clients with a general understanding of the required elements of a business plan when securing financing for a small business. All legalities apply. Program and the borrower (being under the age of 18) may require a co-signor.
